Starring John David Washington, son of the iconic Denzel Washington, TENET promises to be a time-bending, espionage action thriller – and I trust Christopher Nolan to deliver.

While the real world struggles to cope with Coronavirus, the fictional world of TENET struggles under the threat of a Quantum World War. What is one of those? I have no idea, but I’m sure the movie will explain. In the interim, the trailer will explain the difference between time travel and time bending – and no, time bending has nothing to do with Avatar: The Last Airbender, unfortunately.

One reason my excitement for TENET has endured is that the trailers manage to be enticing, giving a glimpse into the story and action we can expect, without giving the entire plot away. Another reason is that I want to see if Mr Washington the younger is an compelling in a feature length film as he is in these trailers. How awesome would it be to have another iconic Washington for our times?

TENET was originally meant to be released in cinemas on July 17th, 2020. The new trailer says the movie is still coming to theatres… it just doesn’t specify when. Personally, I’d love for TENET to drop on Netflix like Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani’s The Lovebirds – but that’s a personal struggle.
